Sometimes. Trenchless methods including lining and pipe bursting can repair or replace a run with far less digging, and they are worth considering on long runs under driveways or mature landscaping. Whether they apply depends on the condition of the existing pipe, which is what the camera inspection determines.
Will you put my yard back?
We backfill and restore the ground we opened as part of the job. Landscaping, hardscaping and irrigation crossing the dig route are discussed before we start so there are no surprises about what returns to exactly how it was and what does not.
How do you avoid hitting other utilities?
Locating before digging, every time. Buried utilities are marked before excavation begins, and we camera and locate our own target line so we know its depth and route rather than searching for it. That is also why we do not quote excavation without inspecting first.
