The water is running. What do I do right now?

Shut the water off first. Most homes have a main shutoff where the supply line enters, usually in a garage, basement or crawlspace, and every sink and toilet has its own stop valve underneath. If you smell gas, leave the building before you call anyone. Then call us and we will talk you through the rest, including finding the shutoff if you are not sure where yours is.

How much does a plumber cost in Nampa?

You will know before we start. We diagnose the problem, quote the whole job in writing, and only then begin work, so there is no hourly meter running and no number that changes once a wall is open. Estimates are free. If the job turns out to be larger than it looked, we stop and requote rather than carrying on and explaining afterwards.

Can you come out today?

Often, yes. Same-day service is something we schedule for routinely, and emergencies take priority over planned work. Calling earlier in the day gives us more room to fit you in, but an active leak or a sewer backing up gets dispatched whenever it happens, including nights and weekends.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are licensed and insured to work in Idaho, and we carry insurance on every job we take. If you would like to see the paperwork before we start, ask on the call and we will bring it with us.

Do you charge to come out and look?

Estimates are free. We come out, find what is actually wrong, and give you a written price before any work begins, and you are free to say no at that point with nothing owed. What we will not do is quote a repair over the phone from a description, because the visible symptom and the actual cause are often two different things.

What areas do you cover?

Nampa, where our shop is, plus Caldwell, Middleton, Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Star, Kuna and Garden City. That covers most of Canyon and Ada County. If your town is not on the list it is still worth calling, because we cover more of the valley than the list suggests.

Do you answer the phone at night?

Yes, around the clock, including weekends and holidays. Describe what you are seeing and we will tell you honestly whether it needs someone tonight or whether it can safely wait until morning. Plenty of calls end with us telling people to shut a valve and get some sleep, and the hour you called does not change what the job costs.

Will you tell me if something does not need fixing?

Yes, and we would rather say so on the phone than after driving out. A slow drain is not always a repair, a noisy heater is not always a replacement, and a plumber who finds a problem on every visit is telling you something about the plumber rather than the house. If it can wait, we will say how long it can wait and what to watch for.

Why does so much plumbing wear out early around here?

Hard water. Groundwater across the Treasure Valley carries a high mineral load, and that scale builds inside water heaters, on fixture cartridges and through supply lines, so parts that should last a decade give up sooner. It is the single most common reason we are called back to a house for something unrelated to the last visit, and it is what water softening and filtration are for.

Do you handle the permits?

Yes, on work that requires them. Sewer and water line replacement, gas line work and most repiping need a permit and an inspection in Nampa and across Ada and Canyon County, and we pull those as part of the job rather than leaving it to you. A plumber who suggests skipping the permit on that kind of work is offering to make it your problem when the house sells.

What payment do you take, and is there financing?

Financing is available, which matters most on the jobs nobody plans for, like a failed water heater or a collapsed sewer line. We will go through the options with you when we give you the price, so the payment decision happens at the same time as the work decision rather than at the end.

Do you guarantee the work?

We match comparable written quotes or upgrade your installation, which is our Best Value Guarantee. On workmanship, ask when we quote and we will tell you exactly what is covered on your specific job, because the answer differs between a fixture swap and a full repipe.
